CINE CLUB - 2nd Sunday of each month at 5:00

This is a new film club that CHICLE is offering one Sunday a month at our regular 5:00 time. The club is open to anyone at any level of Spanish including beginners and native speakers.

Sharon S. Mújica, who has worked in film and for 21 years organized an annual Latin American film festival at UNC-CH will be the facilitator. People are tocome ready to watch a film and discuss it. Although we are primarily interested in using the film to improve people's Spanish listening and speaking ability, members are free to give comments in either Spanish or English. As it will be a very informal get together, you may leave after the film and before the discussion.

At each session, the members will decide on a film for the next meeting of the CineClub. Most films will be chosen from the extensive collection owned by the Consortium in Latin American Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University. Both feature films and documentaries are available for our use. This is slated to be a fun time - members can bring food and drink, friends are welcome, and there will be time each session to meet fellow film "aficionados."
