Children's Mandarin Classes

CHICLE has been teaching children's classes for over ten years. We offer classes for 3-4 year olds, 5-7 year olds, and 8-12 year olds. Classes meet for one hour and are based on age appropriate play and exercises. We incorporate arts and crafts, music, art, and movement. Our teachers are able to lead groups that have both beginners and bilingual children.

The cost is $18 per group class and we require students to sign-up for an entire month. If you know prior to the beginning of the session that you will miss sessions, we will prorate the cost. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund payments for missed classes.

We have an eight student maximum in each class and a minimum of five. We do also offer classes for fewer children: two students @ $22/student, 3-4 students @ $19/student.

We do not hold classes on federal holidays or during spring and fall breaks scheduled by the Chapel Hill/Carrboro public schools.

Teenage students who need extra help with their classwork may take our regular private, semi-private (2 students), or group (3 or more students) classes. If they are 16 or over, they may join our adult  group classes. Private classes are $45 an hour and semi-private are $35 per person per hour.
