Other Language Classes
Our other language courses are less regularly scheduled. We live in an area rich with foreigners and are usually able to find a teacher for additional languages.
Be assured that any teacher we hire will be experienced.
Current and scheduled group classes
Group classes at CHICLE usually meet for eight weeks for one and a half hours a week.The cost is $240 plus the cost of materials. Some courses use textbooks and others get handouts.
We are happy to create a new class at any level and in many languages. Because we are small and flexible, we can be fairly responsive to requests. If you don't see a course listed that you are interested in, please contact us. As we live in an area that is rich in diversity, we can find teachers for a wide variety of languages. We can try to form a group class at a time that is convenient to you.
If you want to study a language, and we don't have enough people to form a group (minimum of three) or the scheduled time doesn't work for you, we offer private lessons. Days and times for these are flexible and the cost is $45/hour. Classes for two students cost $35/hour per student. We have found it difficult to offer group classes for some of our languages. These include Arabic, Farsi, Greek, Hindi, Karen, and Russian. If you are interested in one of these languages, we hope you will consider private classes. We are also hoping to be able to offer Haitian Creole.
