CHICLE’s Italian program has blossomed. We have a group of energetic and fun teachers from different parts of Italy. They incorporate culture, geography, history, and their own experiences into the teaching of many levels of the language. We hope that the group of students will continue to grow so that we will be able to offer more advanced classes in film and literature. As with other popular languages, we offer one-hour weekly discussion groups that meet as long there are at least three students who commit for a month.
Group classes usually meet for six weeks for one and a half· or two hours a week. The cost is $180 plus the cost of materials. Some courses use textbooks and others get handouts.
Private instruction is scheduled at the student's convenience. Cost is $45/hour for one student, $35/hour/student for two students. When we have three or more students at the same level, we form a group class.
Conversation classes are $18 per hour.
