 Private classes (one-to-one) or semi-private (two students and one teacher) are available days, evenings, and even weekends.
For students who prefer to study alone, whose schedules don't allow them to take
our regularly scheduled classes, or who don't fit into one of our levels, we recommend
private classes. We use our curriculum materials where appropriate and supplement
these based on the student's level and interests. Private students can decide what they would like or need to work on.
Private instruction is scheduled at the student's convenience. Cost is $40/hour
for one student, $30/hour/student for two students. Once a student is satisfied
with their teacher and the class, they often prepay for their classes each month.
Some students take once a week, others twice. Some take one hour classes, some
one and a half, others two hours. We have private students who have taken classes
with us for six or seven years or more. However, there is no minimum number of classes
that a person is required to sign up for.
We also have middle and high school students who need some language tutoring or who want more instruction than they get at school. While we call this tutoring, it is the treated the same as private classes.
Two students is considered a semi-private class and three or more students form a group class.
