Meet Casey Goodlett
"I am a software engineer living in Carrboro and working just down the hall from CHICLE. I walked by the CHICLE office many times going to work before starting classes this year.
I started taking Mandarin classes after my first trip to China this past April to meet my wife's family. I felt very welcomed in to the family but would sincerely love to be able to communicate directly rather than using my wife as a translator. I started taking classes shortly after my return. While progress has been slow, as I am starting from scratch, I have been able to say a few sentences to my mother-in-law, which I think she appreciates.
I am about to start my fourth unit of Mandarin at CHICLE and have been very happy with the instruction so far. As a beginner in Mandarin, I have really benefited from the one-on-one help in pronouncing a tonal language. It's been wonderful to have this resource so close to my home and work.Meet Casey Goodlett:
